ROOT helps parents and families understand recurring challenges more clearly, strengthen connection and find practical ways forward that make sense for real family life.
A calm, no-pressure conversation to explore whether ROOT is right for your family.
You’re constantly reminding, repeating and trying to motivate.
You’re trying to work out when to help and when to step back.
School difficulties follow everyone home, and conversations that should be simple somehow become arguments.
“What are we missing?”
Parenting a child or teenager who experiences the world differently can bring enormous strengths, but it can also leave families trying to understand why everyday things sometimes feel so difficult.
ROOT creates space to look beneath the struggle and find a clearer way forward.
TALK TO STELLVIDASometimes families aren’t lacking effort. They’re exhausted from trying to solve the same difficulties again and again.
You remind them. Then remind them again. Eventually you’re frustrated because nothing seems to be happening.
Your child becomes frustrated because it feels as though they’re constantly being corrected.
You try giving more independence. Things fall apart, so you step back in. Then you worry that you’re doing too much.
You’ve tried routines, rewards, consequences, planners, lists and conversations. Some help for a while. Others don’t.
Understanding what may sit underneath a difficulty doesn’t mean removing expectations or boundaries. It helps us respond more thoughtfully.
may sometimes involve overwhelm.
may involve difficulty getting started.
may involve attention, processing, working memory or competing demands.
may sometimes involve frustration, overload or difficulty communicating what is needed.
ROOT is Stellvida’s structured 6–8 week Parent & Family Coaching programme for families who want to understand recurring challenges more clearly, strengthen connection and develop practical ways of moving forward.
It may be particularly helpful for families navigating ADHD, autism, executive-function difficulties or other neurodivergent needs or traits.
ROOT isn’t about trying to “fix” neurodivergence, create the perfectly behaved child or hand parents another universal parenting formula.
Because sustainable change often starts underneath what everyone else can see. ROOT guides the coaching journey through four connected areas.
Slow things down, reduce blame and understand the family’s concerns, strengths and priorities before rushing towards another solution.
Explore routines, responsibilities, transitions, expectations and everyday systems so family life can work better for the people living it.
Make room for strengths, progress and possibility while developing greater understanding of each person’s perspective and needs.
Turn understanding into practical approaches around communication, routines, regulation, independence and problem-solving that fit real life.
ROOT isn’t four unrelated conversations. Each session builds on what you discover along the way.
Understand before trying to change.
We begin with your family’s current situation. We explore what feels difficult, what is going well, what you’ve already tried, the strengths that may be getting overlooked and what you most want to be different.
Look at how everyday life is working.
We explore the patterns around your priorities. This may include routines, communication, responsibilities, expectations, school pressures, transitions or independence.
Understand the people behind the patterns.
We look more closely at strengths, perspectives and connection. Where relevant, this may include personality or temperament, communication preferences and how different family members experience support.
Turn understanding into practical action.
We bring the learning together, review what has helped and identify practical approaches and next steps that fit your family beyond the coaching programme.
Change doesn’t happen only during a coaching conversation.
Between sessions, you may choose a simple reflection or practical experiment based on what you discovered together.
There is no pile of homework. The aim is to learn from your actual family life.
Every family is different, so coaching cannot promise identical outcomes. ROOT creates space to work towards changes that matter to your family.
Recognise what may sit underneath repeated difficulties.
Explore ways of reducing unnecessary friction while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Understand how different family members communicate, respond and experience support.
Become clearer about what may genuinely be difficult and what support may help.
Explore how to support your child without automatically taking over.
Move away from endlessly collecting tips towards approaches that fit your actual family.
Respond with more awareness instead of constantly questioning whether you’re getting it wrong.
See the whole child rather than allowing difficulties to dominate the family story.
Families may seek coaching while awaiting assessment, exploring possible neurodivergence or following a diagnosis.
What matters is whether coaching is appropriate for the support you’re seeking.
There is no perfect parent. There is no perfect teenager. And there is no perfect family.
ROOT isn’t a place where someone stands outside your family and tells you everything you’ve been doing wrong.
Coaching creates structured space to slow things down, reflect, notice patterns, question assumptions, recognise strengths, explore possibilities and choose practical ways forward.
Two people with the same diagnosis can experience completely different strengths, challenges and support needs. That’s why we don’t assume we already know what your family needs.
We consider the individual, not simply the diagnosis.
Challenges matter, but they aren’t the whole person.
Coaching is explored with you, not done to you.
Insight needs to make sense in everyday life.
Families need space to think without being shamed.
Programme investment
Your first step is a conversation, not a commitment.
Before deciding whether to join ROOT, we begin with a Stellvida Discovery Call.
This gives us an opportunity to hear a little about what is happening for your family, understand the support you’re looking for and consider whether ROOT is an appropriate fit.
You can ask questions about the programme too. There is no pressure to enrol simply because you’ve had a discovery conversation.
BOOK YOUR DISCOVERY CALLROOT is primarily a Parent & Family Coaching programme. A parent or carer may therefore undertake much of the coaching.
Where involving a child or young person would be helpful, appropriate and agreed, this can be discussed as part of the coaching process.
Their voice, dignity, strengths and individual needs matter. Where a young person participates directly in coaching, appropriate consent, confidentiality and safeguarding arrangements apply.
No. Families may seek coaching while awaiting assessment, exploring possible neurodivergence or following a diagnosis. What matters is whether coaching is appropriate for the support you are seeking.
Not necessarily. ROOT is primarily parent and family focused. Whether and how a child or teenager participates depends on the family’s circumstances, the young person’s age and preferences, and what is appropriate within the coaching relationship.
No. ROOT is a coaching programme. It provides structured space for reflection, increased awareness, exploration of goals and practical experimentation. It does not diagnose or treat medical or mental-health conditions.
No. There isn’t one universal way to parent every child. Your Stellvida coach helps you explore what is happening, consider different perspectives and identify approaches that make sense for your family.
Where relevant to your coaching goals, we may explore temperament, strengths, communication preferences and ways family members experience support. These are used as reflective tools rather than rigid labels.
ROOT has a clear ending. You can continue independently with what you’ve discovered. Where additional coaching may be useful, relevant Stellvida options can be discussed. There is no expectation that families continue coaching indefinitely.
Stellvida coaching is not therapy, diagnosis, medical treatment, mental-health crisis support or an emergency service. Coaching does not replace appropriate medical, psychological, educational, social-care or safeguarding support. Where another professional service appears more appropriate, Stellvida may discuss this with you.
Maybe you’ve been trying harder. Reminding more. Explaining more. Doing more. And somehow everyone is becoming more frustrated.
Perhaps the next step isn’t simply trying harder. Perhaps it’s understanding differently.
